A delicious smoothie made with wild blueberries, banana, almond dairy and spinach for any nutritional boost. Finished with a sprinkle of chia seeds for a healthy dose of omega-3.

Hello. I want to proceed to inform you of how odd I am.

Last night I had developed this uncontrollable craving for broccoli following my workout. Just steamed broccoli with ocean salt and pepper. Quite absurd actually, but I absolutely needed it. So away to Target I went. Except you know when you head into Target, it isn’t like you’re walking right out. Nope, you are going to become there for at least one hour filling your cart with items you never understood you required. Classic example: Vanilla Cupcake Goldfish. They basically flavor like sweetened little pet cracker cookies. And if you’ve been here a while, you know how I REALLY LIKE animal crackers (especially frosted). Oh and also, coconut dairy conditioner. YUM.

I finally were able to leave Focus on with two bags full. By enough time I arrived home I USED TO BE STARVING. Do you get to the point where you’re so hungry that you can’t also think? I considered breaking open a jar of peanut butter in my car around the trip home, but knew that wouldn’t lead to anything good.

Once home, I actually basically destroyed an entire bag of steamed broccoli for supper. Obviously that packed me up, but limited to one episode of The Vampire Diaries, therefore of course I had fashioned to make something else. Since I’ve been really trying to completely clean up my diet (minus the goldfish), I opted for one of my favorite power smoothies.

Really though, they’re SO far better then the common ones. I usually purchase mine from Trader Joe’s, but if you can’t see them there, choose organic blueberries. I guarantee you’ll notice the flavor difference.

This recipe is sweet, simple, and a wholesome way to begin your morning or to enjoy being a snack. Here’s why I find the pursuing ingredients:

Blueberries. Obtain those antioxidants in as well as your skin will glow.

Banana. Good for you carbs and help to thicken up the smoothie.

If you’d like more protein with this smoothie, feel free to add in a scoop of protein natural powder or 1/4 cup of greek yogurt.

1 cup baby spinach

Instructions

Place all substances besides chia seeds into blender and blend until steady. Add even more almond dairy if smoothie is certainly too dense. Pour into a chilled cup, sprinkle with chia seed products and extra blueberries; enjoy!
