To celebrate Australia Time this year I had decided to embrace everything Australian in my own food choices for our BBQ. The very first dish I wanted to present will actually end up being our Australia Day dessert. You can find not too many cakes more Australian compared to the lamington. Will any other country even create a laming ton any other time of year?? My next issue, does anyone also like the lamington? At the chance of being tagged Un-Australian” I have by no means been a fan. But just like the outdated blue singlet” or the tradesman with a butt crack displaying, it’s as Aussie as cakes comes.

Formula Type: Dessert, snack

The great Australian lamington made into a macaron for an Australia Day Dessert.

1 cup ground almond

Decorating and Filling up:

Range baking trays with paper.

In an electric mixer beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Slowly add the caster sugars beating well among each addition. Beat eggs whites for another 2 mins on high.

In another bowl add sifted icing sugar, almond food and coconut substance. Slowly collapse the egg whites through this mixture.

Place the mixture into a piping bag and tube circles for the baking paper.

Preheat the oven to 145 levels.

Allow the macarons to stand for at least 20 mins ahead of cooking.

Make the macaroon for 15 mins.

For the filling melt the copha and delicious chocolate in a dish. Dip the cooled macaron in the chocolate and then in a plate of coconut.

Place the coated sweets in the fridge.

When it’s time to serve fill with cream and sandwich jointly.

Commensurate with the Country Woman’s Association design of cooking, the formula uses Queens coconut essence within the Macaron and canned whipped cream for the filling.

So how will it flavor? More delicious than any lamington I have ever tasted. It’s as nice and light like a Woolies lamingtons with that familiar chocolates and coconut flavour.
