Here are three reasons why:

1. The team you had been rooting for may have lost, a clear reason to place in bed all day.

2. You’re inside a food coma because you do not care about sports and ate every one of the bread dip in the party rather (me)! Excess fat naps are expected.

3. No one prefers Mondays anyway.

I say we just stay home and bake cupcakes.

Here are the facts. I had an excellent weekend. I want to press rewind and bake more.

I got the idea for these cupcakes once i went on an exploration with a pal in Georgetown.

Majorly awesome cupcake center of the world apparently!

First we stopped at Baked & Wired That’s where I had the most epic cupcake I’ve ever endured in my life. Proper name: The Most Amazing Cupcake ON THE PLANET.

It had been a banana cupcake topped with peanut butter frosting and glazed with chocolates. Did you know that was Elvis’ preferred flavor combination? (The Elvis Cupcake).

Next stop was Sprinkles!

We didn’t eat a cupcake at Sprinkles, but I’ve heard good stuff. This is the bakery that began the cupcake trend. The founder is normally even a judge on Cupcake Wars.

Sprinkles is pretty popular, but what about Georgetown cupcakes?

There is a line beyond your door for these. People wait in the rain for DC Cupcakes. I’ve heard mixed evaluations. I didn’t eat a cupcake right here either, I had been too full from THE MOST BEAUTIFUL Cupcake ON THE PLANET.

I don’t think Elvis was the only one who enjoyed this taste mixture. These cupcakes were devoured at a Superbowl party.

Let’s end up being honest… peanut butter frosting is definitely a success.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Right now make these!

Fill the cupcake liners about two-thirds whole. Bake for 20 to 25 mins, or until a toothpick put in the center of a cupcake happens clean. Remove cupcakes and place on chilling rack for twenty a few minutes.

To make frosting: Place the powdered glucose, peanut butter, butter, in the bowl of a power mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Combine on medium-low rate until creamy, scraping down the dish with a plastic spatula as you function. Add the cream and defeat on broadband until the mix is usually light and simple.
