If you follow me personally on Instagram , you might have seen my yoga exercises tweets lately (#akyogachallenge). I’m dropping in love with my practice and it feels totally incredible.

Now what’s funny is the fact that I’m the type of person who NEEDS intensity from a good work out. Generally kickboxing and running tend to become my favorites because I love the ‘high’, uplifting feeling that originates from those cardio endorphins. What’s uncommon is that I’ve found which i get the same feeling from my yoga exercises practice, except I don’t have to run 8 mls to feel like I accomplished something. As soon as I stage onto my mat, I allow my stress move and focus my energy on deep breathing and thinking favorably.

Most of all, yoga exercises is slowly teaching me to appreciate the wonder within myself. It seems that we’re all searching for something, whether it be a change inside our lives, body, or our hearts; nevertheless, before any switch can happen we must learn to accept ourselves from within. For me this yoga problem is about so much more than just being fit.

I’ve been trying to treat my own body well with nutrient loaded beautiful foods, as well. This means taking into account what is fresh and seasonal. Needless to say making a mindful decision to consume better is definitely challenging but it is critical to find foods that produce your brain and body happy.

Smoothies are my go-to beauty meals. I love that you can pack an insane amount of fruits and veggies into one glass. Plus, they’re quite delicious during warm summer days. This smoothie is usually revitalizing, quick, and may actually contain every vitamin under the sunlight. It’s not excessively sweet… and don’t worry, you can’t also flavor the spinach!


Mango: They’re packed with supplement C & fiber. Plus they’re therefore delicious, you’ll probably forget how healthy they are.

Avocado: Healthy fatty acids go a long way and help keep you whole. Plus they put in a wonderful creamy texture to the smoothie.

Spinach: Pack in the iron and dietary fiber.

Kiwi: One of the better fruits ever. More supplement C and dietary fiber to keep you full.

Chia Seeds: If you haven’t tried this relatively need super food, you need to! They have omega-3s, dietary fiber, and are full of antioxidants. You’ll find them at Investor Joe’s or Whole foods.

Beauty and Fitness Meals: Mango Kiwi Avocado Green Smoothie vegan, gluten free

1 kiwi, sliced up and epidermis removed

1/4 medium ripe avocado, pitted and diced

1 teaspoon chia seeds

1/2 cup snow, if necessary


Place all elements into blender and blend until even. Add more milk or water if required, based on how solid you prefer it.

Serve inside a high chilled cup and slurp up the goodness!
